Weekend fun: Aquafest, Wheel of Fortune, hula hoops, more

Summer festival: Aquafest in Lake Stevens runs from Friday morning to Sunday evening. There’s a waterski tournament, parade, music, talent competition and a lot more. Get the details in our story.

Family fun: The Tour de Terrace is Friday to Sunday in Mountlake Terrace. There will be a carnival, live entertainment, beer garden, arts, crafts, parade, car show and food booths.

More family fun: The Silvana Community Fair is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Viking Hall, 1331 Pioneer Highway, Silvana. There will be live music, food, farm animals, indoor exhibits and kids’ games. It’s free.

Culture: The Nubian Jam, a celebration of African-American culture with speakers, live performances and vendors, is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett

Polo: See polo — yes, the kind with horses — Saturday and Sunday in La Conner. The Governor’s Cup will bring together the best players from around the Northwest. Get all the details in our story.

Hula it: Can you hula hoop? Then your skills are wanted on at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Everett Memorial Stadium. A group is going to try to break the record for the largest hula hoop routine. Hula hoops are provided. Get more details.

Look up: The Flying Heritgage Collection Skyfair is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 3407 109th St. SW, Everett. You’ll see plane demos, WWII re-enactors, remote-controls tanks, kid’s activities and more. Planes fly at noon.

Get inspired: See beautiful gardens, and steal ideas for your own, on the Snohomish Garden Club Tour from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Get all the info in our story.

A renaissance: Renaissance at the Farm is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Greenbank Farm, 765 Wonn Road, Greenbank on Whidbey Island. See demonstrations of historical and contemporary agriculture, horseback riding, arts, juggling, theater, cooking, beverage making, children’s activities and more.

An Ogre: Shrek, The Musical plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the PUD Theater, 2320 California St., Everett. $12-$15.

Big waves: Watch wake surfers from around the country show off their best stuff at the NW Wake Surf Open on Saturday and Sunday at Lake Tye in Monroe. The event is free to watch.

Peddle: The Snohomish County Bike Bash is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. There will be a bike rodeo, racing, group trail ride, vendors and bike helmet fittings.

Wheel … of … Fortune: Want to be a competitor on “Wheel of Fortune”? You could get your chance Sunday. Fans could play a simulated version of the game and be evaluated as a potential contestant for the broadcast version of the show. Learn more about the event. Free.
