Regarding the article, “?‘A Full Life,’ Jimmy Carter at 90 remains a wise truth teller”: Jimmy Carter continues to be an inspiration for all of us. One way to be the “champion of peace” and human rights he talks about is to pass the bill introduced by Sens. Collins and Coons last week to “end preventable deaths of mothers, newborns, and young children in developing nations.” This bill will create a more efficient USAID that will transparently use allocated money to work on ending the nearly 17,000 daily deaths. Why not be inspired and ask your Sens. Murray and Cantwell to cosponsor this bill? Both Senators have always supported more efficient and transparent use of resources, and this bill will save lives. Adding your voice will insure they are able to continue this incredible work!
