Frolic: Old-timey fun for Marysville’s 125th
Enjoy old-fashioned fun as Marysville marks its 125th birthday with an all-day Celebrate Marysville event, 1 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Ebey Waterfront Park, 1404 First St.
The event will take on plenty of 1890s flavor. See demonstrations of blacksmithing and soap-making. Watch a log-rolling show. Kids can enjoy vintage games and activities, including a pie-eating contest. Shop turn-of-the-century wares, such as natural dyed wool, Victorian jewelry and spices.
There will be music by Tiller’s Folly and Conner Worley, a raffle, and a fireworks show, too.
