Republican delegates selected at the Feb. 20 precinct caucuses will participate Saturday in the Snohomish County Republican convention at Mariner High School in south Everett.
Republican delegates to the county convention will choose delegates to the Washington State Republican Convention May 19-22 in Pasco, where state Republicans choose delegates to the Republican National presidential nominating convention July 18–21 in Cleveland.
Republican delegates to the National Convention must vote in accordance with results of the May 24 presidential primary on the first ballot, but they are free to vote freely on subsequent ballots.
Representatives of presidential candidates have been contacting delegates about their preferences.
The county convention also will consider a county Republican platform.
The county convention is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Mariner High School, 200 120th St. S.W., Everett.
