GOLD BAR — Rainfall has kept two wildfires in Snohomish County from growing Sunday, and additional firefighters have arrived two miles east of Gold Bar to help contain the Proctor Creek fire.
There are now 182 personnel on the fire line at Proctor Creek. The fire covers 352 acres, slightly above previous estimates, but the increase is only due to more accurate mapping of the fire site.
Evacuation orders have been lifted for all but two homes near the fire, and residents of those two homes are only under the lowest advisory level of warning.
No structures have been damaged in the Proctor Creek fire, which remains about 10 percent contained.
The Hotshot fire is about 20 percent contained, and has shrunk from 130 acres to 67 acres in size. The fire is located in steep wooded terrain at least a quarter mile away from any structures. No buildings lie in the path of the fire.
About 70 firefighters are working to control the fire.
No cause for either fire has been determined.
