Female playwrights
The University of Washington Women’s Center brings “Seven,” a collaboration of seven award-winning female playwrights, to Everett at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St. Admission is $20, $15 students and seniors. Bicycle rodeo in Arlington: Local Girl Scouts are hosting a bicycle safety rodeo from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kent Prairie Elementary School’s playground. The Scouts hosting the event are raising money for a trip to Europe. The rodeo costs $5 per person and anyone can participate. Learn riding skills, bike maintenance, helmet fitting, equipment checks, safety and riding around obstacles.
Stitch in Public Day: A local yarn and crafts business, Perfectly Knotty, is hosting an event for Stitch in Public Day outside of 310 N. Olympic Ave. in Arlington. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, people are invited to bring their projects — crochet, knitting, embroidery, needlepoint and more — and a comfy chair so they can stitch together for the day.

New donation site to help abused children: The State Patrol’s Missing and Exploited Task Force has rolled out a new donation page. The proceeds will go to the identification and safe recovery of exploited children and the investigation and apprehension of suspects who sexually exploit children. There are about 200,000 cases of child exploitation a year in the U.S.
