Charles Matheny IV Army Sgt. Charles Matheny IV, 23, of Arlington died Feb. 18, 2006, in Baghdad after an explosive device detonated near his vehicle. A 2000 graduate of Arlington High School, he enlisted one month before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Matheny was buried in Tahoma National Cemetery in near Kent, in honor of his duty in the war in Iraq and the four generations of military service in his family.
