MARYSVILLE — A fire caused severe damage to a vacant home early Sunday in Marysville.
Fire engines were called around 4:45 a.m. to a single-story house on fire at the corner of 3rd Street and Beach Avenue, said Christie Veley, spokeswoman for the Marysville Fire Department.
No one was inside. The owner had been using the house as storage. Firefighters could not prevent flames from causing damage throughout the interior, to the point that the home might have to be demolished, Veley said.
The fire’s cause was under investigation by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office.
