Town hall by phone: Residents of Everett, Marysville and Tulalip are encouraged to join state Sen. John McCoy, state Rep. Mike Sells, and state Rep. June Robinson for an one-hour telephone Town Hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Shortly before 6 p.m., thousands of 38th Legislative District residents will receive telephone calls inviting them to stay on the line to participate in the town hall.
Those who get the call and want to ask a question, or just want to listen to the program, will need to press “Star 3” to connect. Anyone who doesn’t get a call can call 877-229-8493, and then enter the code 18646 when prompted. The call is toll-free.
People who want to send a message to lawmakers can call toll-free anytime at 800-562-6000, or 800-635-9993 (for the hearing-impaired).
More work coming to Edmonds museum: The Edmonds Historical Museum continues with renovations this spring with plans to return the upper level to its original 1910 layout.
The museum has used the Carnegie Library building since 1973. The building at 118 Fifth Ave. N. retains many original elements, such as its Tiffany glass entry sign, but the open layout was altered in the 1970s and 1990s.
Renovation plans include removing non-original walls, expanding the research library, improving the kitchen and public bathroom and addressing temperature and humidity issues for the museum’s collection.
The renovation will begin after the current exhibit ends on Feb. 9. Both floors will reopen Saturday, May 3, along with the museum’s Garden Market.
