CLEARWATER — The Nature Conservancy says it has purchased nearly 4 square miles of rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula for conservation.
The timberland along Jefferson County’s Clearwater River was purchased from Fruit Growers Supply Co.
The conservation group says that, along with previous land purchases, the deal will help create a 38-mile conservation corridor along the river.
