EVERETT — A high-speed, head-on collision in the 12900 block of Highway 522 left three people with serious injuries on Monday evening.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday, firefighters from Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue responded to reports of the collision between an older model Chevrolet Suburban and a BMW sedan on Highway 522 east of Fales Road.
First responders extricated both drivers. Three people were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries, according to a press release. Their injuries are unknown.
As of 5:30 p.m., the road remained closed while the Washington State Patrol investigated the crash. Traffic is being diverted to Fales Road and Main Street.
