ISSAQUAH — Kamiak High School girls wrestler Eden Cole pinned Hazen’s Helen Jensen 56 seconds into the third round to claim the Justice for All tournament title in the 135 weight class Saturday at Issaquah High School.
Cole, a junior who is participating in wrestling at Kamiak for the first time this season, went 4-0 to claim her first tournament title. She won a 15-9 decision over Eastlake’s Fiona Wolf in an action-packed first-round match. Cole pinned her next two opponents — Lake Washington’s Myles Ignatovich and Meridian’s Aaliyah Fuentes — to reach the championship match.
It was the third time Cole has placed in a varsity tournament. She previously placed sixth at the Blaine Borderite Blizzard on Dec. 28 and fourth at the Rock Island Rumble in Oak Harbor on Jan. 11.
Cascade grapplers Alyssia Beddall (100), Harmony Guilfoile (140) and Nadha Vemmerath-Kulangera (190) each finished third at Justice for All. Mariner’s Belyini-Pascasio-Umana (105) and Mountlake Terrace’s Neela Lopez Hernandez (130) also placed third. Terrace’s Rosechelle Obare took home fourth place at 125.
