LYNNWOOD — The man killed in a shed fire last week near Lynnwood has been identified.
Just after 8 a.m. Dec. 2, firefighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 20500 block of Larch Way, according to South County Fire. When crews got to the scene, they found the fire was in a shed that was used as a residence next to the home. A resident of the home on the property tried to put out the fire with a garden hose, but was unsuccessful.
Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to the home. It took them about five minutes to extinguish the fire.
In the shed, they found Lukas Goodman, 24. The cause and manner of his death were still pending this week, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation, said investigator Aaron Parker, of the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office, on Wednesday. A sheriff’s office spokesperson said last week the fire was not being investigated as suspicious.
