Non-league
Stanwood 7, Arlington 3
ARLINGTON — A strong sixth inning helped the Spartans (2-0) douse an Eagles (0-1) comeback bid. Stanwood scored three runs in that frame to build on their one-run lead thanks in part to three Arlington errors on consecutive at-bats. Pitcher Addison Anderson starred for the Spartans with 13 strikeouts in seven innings while Megan Stulc had a team-high two RBI. No individual stats were reported for Arlington.
Snohomish 11, Glacier Peak 4
SNOHOMISH — The Panthers (3-0) stayed perfect with a comfortable win over the visiting Grizzlies (0-1). Hannah Siegler (3-for-5) scored two runs and batted in two scores while Taylor Ward went 1-for-3 to put up a team-high three RBI. Pitcher Abby Edwards stayed in the circle the whole way, allowing six hits to 10 strikeouts. Sammie Christensen went 2-for-4 and scored a run for Glacier Peak.
Lake Stevens 14, Ferndale 3 (5)
LAKE STEVENS — The Vikings (1-2) earned their first win of the season in emphatic fashion. After the Golden Eagles cut the lead to three in the top of the fourth, Lake Stevens’ bats came alive to the tune of eight runs — three of which scored on a McKenna Richer homer to cap off a 2-for-2 day. Vikings pitcher Charli Pugmire shined in the circle with two hits allowed to 10 strikeouts. Cora Quintel (1-for-2) led the team with four RBI while Emerson Cummins hit a three-run home run to stretch Lake Stevens’ early lead.
Bothell 1, Shorewood 0
BOTHELL — A first-inning triple provided Bothell with the only run of the game. Shorewood pitcher Ellie Van Horn was nearly perfect in the circle, allowing two hits to 12 strikeouts. Van Horn also had both of Shorewood’s hits on a 2-for-24 day from the plate.
Oak Harbor 8, Marysville Getchell 6
MARYSVILLE — A massive Oak Harbor comeback washed away a 6-1 Marysville Getchell seventh-inning lead. The Chargers (1-1) had a solid day offensively, going 13-for-31 from the plate. Lilyana Balgos (3-for-4) got on base consistently, scoring one run. Despite the rough finish, Marysville Getchell pitcher Aaliyah Shafer finished with 11 strikeouts to two earned runs (seven total).
Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) 10, Lakewood 5
BOTHELL — Eight unanswered runs early for the Eagles would prove too much for the Cougars to overcome. MJ Morales led Lakewood with three RBI on 2-for-4 batting as the Cougars dropped to 0-2.
Issaquah 12, Everett 2 (6)
ISSAQUAH — The Seagulls (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season after a 3-for-20 day from the plate. Everett’s Anna Luscher and Braylon Yarwood both went 1-for-3 and scored one run each in the sixth inning to account for the team’s scoring.
Sedro-Woolley 11, Cascade 1 (5)
SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Ten Sedro-Woolley runs through the first two innings put Cascade (0-3) in a rough spot early. Cienna Cannon (1-for-3) scored Cascade’s lone run on a solo homer in the third.
