Boeing 777 orders up for grabs

Boeing’s 777 orders are getting a lot of attention lately.

FedEx says it may have to cancel orders for 15 777 Freighters as well as options for 15 more if Congress passes legislation making it easier for workers to form labor unions, Reuters reports.

Boeing has 71 777 Freighters on order, including FedEx’s firm order for 15. Air France has already deferred a couple of its 777 cargo planes on order after taking delivery of the first two.

This morning, Turkish Airlines says it wants to buy five Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

And last week, an analyst lowered his estimate for Boeing deliveries based, saying the 777 particularly is succeptible to declines in freight traffic and passenger travel.
