Center for Bird and Exotic Animals featured at Seattle Pet Expo

The team from The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine in Bothell will be at the Seattle Pet Expo Saturday, giving on-stage presentations, offering meet-and-greets with exotic animals and hosting an interactive and informative booth at the event. There will be games, prizes and a raffle benefiting The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine’s Compassionate Care Fund.

Nonprofit seeks buyer for wine-and-gift shop

The Greenbank Farm Management Group is seeking a private buyer for its established wine-and-gift shop on Whidbey Island. The wine shop was originally opened in the 1970’s, and assumed by the Management Group when the Port of Coupeville purchased the Farm in 1997. Debt relief program aims to help former Everest College students

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson has outlined a new debt relief process for aggrieved Corinthian College students who took out loans to pay tuition and got little in return when their schools were abruptly closed. Corinthian owned and operated six Everest College campuses in Washington including one in Everett until February when their sale to Zenith Education Group was finalized.

Video service aims to help deaf, hard-of-hearing

The U.S. Small Business Administration became one of the first federal agencies on June 10 to roll-out a Video Relay Service to make its services and programs more accessible to all communities. The video telecommunication service allows deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech-impaired individuals who use American Sign Language to communicate with voice telephone users in real-time through video equipment, rather than through typed text.
