Everett lawyer recognized by American Institute of Family Law Attorneys
The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys has recognized Everett family law attorney Rebecca Torgerson by honoring her with their 2015 10 Best Family Law Attorney for Client Satisfaction award. Attorneys who are named to the list must pass a rigorous selection process. Torgerson is an Everett native and a partner at Brewe Layman.
EvCC rated as a Fit-Friendly worksite
Everett Community College has been recognized as a platinum-level Fit-Friendly worksite by the American Heart Association. It was one of 18 higher education organizations nationwide, and the only college in Washington, to receive the award this year. The college also received a worksite innovation award from the American Heart Association.

Machinists hold peanut butter drive to combat hunger
Members of Machinists Union District Lodge 751 are participating in two annual peanut butter drives to help fight hunger in the region. Through May 10, donations can be brought to any IAM 751 union hall in Puget Sound, including the Everett Union Hall at 8729 Airport Road. Last year, Everett Machinists collected nearly 1,400 pounds of peanut butter.
