Dykeman, a leading architectural, interior design and planning firm in the Pacific Northwest that is based in Everett, recently announced that they have joined forces with Schell Design Group, a 34-year, environmental graphic design firm from Skagit County.

Award-winning Dykeman began as an architecture firm in 1967. Since that time, the company has expanded its services to include interior design, environmental, graphic and web design, all of which can be integrated into their projects. The company serves a wide range of industries including commercial, financial, retail, restaurants, K-12 schools, municipal and public buildings, residential homes, religious sites, and historic renovation projects.

Dykeman’s projects are peppered across the region. For example, the company has been providing architectural services for Safeway for almost 40 years, creating new construction or remodel plans for over 200 stores. Forest View Elementary School in Everett is just one of the many schools the company has designed locally. They are also responsible for the Evergreen Branch Library in Everett, the Avalon Meydenbauer mixed-use project and countless others.

Schell Design Group is a full service marketing and design firm that prides itself on interpreting their client’s “brand” and bringing that brand to life. Founded in 1976, the company believes that a well planned, well conceived marketing plan is the key to consistent company success and growth.

A part of Schell Design Group’s services is environmental design, creating an environment that is welcoming and comfortable. This ideally complements Dykeman’s own principles on visual marketing as well as in architecture and interior design. By working together, the two companies believe they can offer even greater services to their clients.

“At Dykeman, we are passionate about delivering creative excellence and the greatest value to our clients,” said John Jones, principal and CFO of the company. “By joining forces with Schell Design Group, we have added seasoned expertise in integrated signage solutions and high performance retail environments, as well as innovative brand and marketing support services. This addition complements our talented architectural, interior design and visual marketing teams and creates a powerful, creative synergy that directly benefits our clients.”

Dykeman’s distinctive offices are headquartered on the Everett waterfront adjacent to Lombardi’s Restaurant and the Everett Marina.
