Regal Cinemas’ Everett Mall Stadium 16, located on the mall’s south side between Sears and Mervyns, opens Friday with regular movie showings. All this week, however, it will host charity events and movie screenings.
Today through Wednesday, the theater is offering $1 movies, $1 popcorn and $1 soft drinks, and a slew of special movie showings. Today’s proceeds benefit the Snohomish County Boys &Girls Clubs; Tuesday’s take goes to The Moyer Foundation’s “Catch a Cure for Cancer” effort. Wednesday’s proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
An invitation-only grand opening takes place Thursday night, followed by Friday’s grand opening for the public. With each paid admission, customers will receive free popcorn and a drink during the theater’s first week in business.
For the schedule of special movie times today through Wednesday, visit the theater’s Web site at www.regmovies.com/openings/everettmall/ index.htm. Regular box office prices will be $9.25 per adult, $7 during matinee times. Children and senior tickets will be $6.50 each.
With the opening of Regal’s new cinema, the Everett Mall 3 theater inside the shopping center and the nearby Everett 9 theater on Everett Mall Way will shut down Thursday night.
