The Tulalip Tribes is planning a June opening for its 12-story hotel and spa adjacent to its resort casino along I-5.
The new hotel will include 370 rooms, a number of specialty suites and a full-service spa, Tulalip officials said Tuesday in announcing the planned opening and releasing artist renderings of the facility.
“With the opening of our new luxury hotel and spa, Tulalip Resort Casino will solidify its place as a world-class resort destination, offering the largest and most distinctive meeting, gaming, entertainment and shopping venue in Washington state, Ken Kettler, casino president, said in a news release.
In addition to its proximity to the casino, the hotel will also be adjacent to the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall, which has more than 100 shops and regularly attracts visitors from other states and Canada.
The items in the hotel itself will also be on sale, including furniture, fixtures and $1 million in authentic tribal art in the rooms and around the hotel. The hotel will include an art gallery in which people can order custom pieces from artists on the reservation.
Among the suites will be the 3,000-square-foot Tulalip Suite, designed for corporate entertaining; a Technology Suite with leading-edge technology and entertainment; and two Asian-themed suites designed using the principles of feng shui.
In addition to rooms, suites and shops, the hotel will have 30,000 square feet of meeting and reception space and a related staff; a 15,000-square-foot ballroom; four breakout rooms; and five boardrooms.
The facilities are designed to accommodate events with more than 2,000 guests.
The spa will feature men’s and women’s lounges equipped with rainwater showers, saunas, steam rooms, and spaces for relaxation and reflection.
