New on the menu: More stories about food in Snohomish County

Meet Taylor Goebel, a new Daily Herald reporter who will focus on local food, drink and restaurants.

Dear Readers,

Beginning today, you’ll notice significant changes in The Daily Herald’s reporting of all things food.

Those changes start with Taylor Goebel, an award-winning journalist who transplanted from the East Coast to spearhead our expanded focus on the Snohomish County food scene. Taylor plans to immerse herself in the community and tell stories about the people, places and moments that help define our culinary culture.

Taylor’s first story is about local residents and restaurant owners sharing their Lunar New Year traditions. In her introductory column, she explores some recommended restaurants. In the weeks and months to come, you’ll see more changes to our food coverage, both online and in print.

And be sure to get to know Taylor better. One way to do that is by joining her Facebook Group — SnohomDish. Just go to facebook.com/groups/snohomdish.
