Family-friendly events
Ring in the New Year early at the Everett Public Library. Both library branches invite families with young children to celebrate from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with activities, stories and a dance party. The event is free.

From 3 to 6 p.m., all are welcome to enjoy a night of music, poetry and sparkling apple cider at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and no reservations are required. The event is free, but donations are accepted.

Arena Sports’ New Year’s Eve celebration
Enjoy a night of laughter, excitement, and family-friendly fun at Arena Sports in Mill Creek. Drop in anytime between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. for the party. The ball drop in New York City will be streamed at 9 p.m. on the big TV wall and attendees will be given glow sticks, party favors, noisemakers and hats to welcome the new year. Those 21 and older can take advantage of a 23% discount on pints, wine and champagne. Food will be available for purchase. Pre-purchase tickets online, $34.95 per person.

Ice skate into the New Year
Close out 2023 by ice skating at a local rink. The Everett Community Ice Rink, Tulalip Lights and Ice, Sno-King Ice Arena and Lynnwood Ice Center are all open for skating on New Year’s Eve. Hours and prices vary, so contact locations for more information.

Countdown to the New Year at Hotel Indigo
Hotel Indigo’s 3rd Annual Countdown to New Year’s Party is a black-and-white affair so dress accordingly and be ready to dance. Rock the night away with live music from The Highsteppers and savor cocktails and snacks before the midnight balloon drop. The party is from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Purchase tickets online; $69 per person before taxes and fees. Drinks are not included in the ticket price, but there will be a cash bar at the 21+ event.

New Year’s Eve Whiteout with 16Eleven
16Eleven, a restaurant in the APEX Art and Culture Center, is ringing in the new year with a Whiteout Party at 9:30 p.m. Wear white and enjoy music from the Randy Haberstadt Trio with Halberstadt on piano, Phil Sparks on bass and Julian MacDonough on drums. There will be a champagne toast at midnight. Before the party, the restaurant is open for walk-ins in the lounge and bar all evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. The New Year’s Eve menu includes shareables, wagyu burger and fish and chips. No reservation needed; $10 cover at the door from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
