If you put up a fresh Christmas tree every year, you know: It’s not just about acquiring the perfect tree, it’s about bundling up, getting out in the crisp fresh air, drinking cocoa and visiting a local farm.
This weekend most local farms, roadside stands and local nurseries begin selling trees.
You’ll find ready-to-buy fresh-cut trees, evergreen wreaths and swags. You can visit U-cut farms to choose and cut your tree right from the field for the ultimate in freshness.
Many farms offer hot coffee, tea and cocoa to keep you warm, and attractions such as Santa visits, marshmallow roasting, live animals and gift shops.
Now get out there and take your pick of the Christmas tree litter.
