This Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Flying Heritage Collection will host “Flying Heroes of World War II,” a special event featuring a panel of World War II veterans and experts discussing how air power influenced the war’s outcome.
The event will take a look back at WWII through first-hand perspectives of veterans as they reveal how the war changed their lives.
“Flying Heroes of World War II” provides an opportunity to honor all veterans who served their countries.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Flying Heritage Collection, Paine Field, 3407 109th Street SW, Everett. Free parking is available outside the hangar.
All veterans are welcomed for free. Admission rates are $12, $10 seniors, $8 youth (6-15), free children (5 and under); groups of 15 or more are $10 per person. For more information, see www.flyingheritage.com or call 877-342-3404.
TimberFest
Darrington’s TimberFest 2008, held in conjunction with the homecoming game, will be 5 to 7 tonight in Darrington.
Food, games and contests are planned. Community leaders and politicians will be baking apple pies for judging.
