The Candlenut’s master suite and secondary bedrooms are isolated from each other making this home perfect for families with older children.

Family living areas are at the center. Formal spaces, living room and dining room face the street, while the family room and kitchen are along the back.

Both the family room and the living room are large with vaulted ceilings and a wealth of windows. The family room has a fireplace and sliding glass doors opening to a custom deck.

The family room could be more fully enclosed, if desired, by adding a wall parallel to the basement stairs and creating a corridor between the nook and bedrooms. Or the owners could knock out the wall that separates the family room from the nook to create a greater sense of openness.

Skylights and another set of sliders make the nook an attractive setting for beginning the day. The large country kitchen has a garden window, pantry, eating bar, trash compactor, and built-in range, oven and dishwasher.

A comfortable utility room, complete with a deep utility sink and a long counter, is close to the kitchen, master suite and garage. The garage has a long workbench with overhead cabinets.

The master suite amenities include a walk-in closet, and a private bathroom with twin basins and a huge two-person spa tub.
