We asked readers to tell us what they love about their moms. Kids from 17 to well over 70 entered The Herald’s Mother’s Day contest. The winner received a $100 gift card to Renee’s Contemporary Clothing in Everett. But there were many other heartfelt stories. You can find all of them here.

My mom is an extraordinary woman. When my dad passed away in 2009, she stepped up and took over managing their small business. She worked very hard to keep things up and running, even plowing snow from the parking lot with my dad’s truck. She is kind, hardworking, and loving. Her faith and strength inspire me every day. I am proud to call her my mom.
