Paul F. Peterson and E.L. Werner jointly announced today the purchase of Werner Realty Co., by Peterson. The firm name would be retained under the new management. Peterson had been the company’s manager.
Darcie Marie Martinis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Martinis Jr. of Everett, was one year old today. Grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Chris Roobis of Everett and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Martinis of Lake Stevens. Great-grandparents were Fred Kachold of Everett and Tom Roobis of Seattle. Great-great-grandmother was Ora Dishore of Ellensburg.
25 years ago (1986)
Kathryn Hamilton, a Providence Hospital administrator, was selected from five finalists to become Mukilteo’s newest school board members. She was the only woman on the five-member board, which was charged with setting policy for the district’s 6,800 students.
Mixon’s Chinese Restaurant at 4305 Rucker Ave. was having its grand opening under new management. They advertised having a kitchen from China. Their head chef had come here from China 15 years ago. He started cooking preparing meals for the man who was now premiere of the People’s Republic of China.
