A group of National Guard trainees find themselves battling a vicious group of mutants on their last day of training in the desert in “The Hills Have Eyes II,” opening today without a screening for reviewers. The sequel, written by Jonathan Craven and Wes Craven and directed by Martin Weisz, is rated R for prolonged sequences of strong, gruesome horror, violence and gore, rape and language. The film is playing at Alderwood, Everett, Galaxy Monroe, Marysville, Mountlake, Oak Tree, Varsity, Woodinville and Cascade Mall. Look for Robert Horton’s review in Saturday’s Herald.
