32 men accused of gang conspiracy in Tacoma

TACOMA — The Pierce County prosecutor is using a new tactic against 32 men accused of crimes blamed on the Hilltop Crips street gang.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reports each man is charged with conspiracy, in addition to specific crimes.

Many of the men were rounded up Tuesday, and 22 pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Pierce County Superior Court. Each is held on $1 million bail.
