The Arlington Police Department on Dec. 18 recognized more than a dozen employees, volunteers, and citizens at the department’s annual awards ceremony.
The Employee of the Year was Officer Lucas Adkins. Adkins also was awarded the Chief’s DUI Enforcement Award.
The Stillaguamish Tribe was recognized for its investment in the department’s K9 program and equipment. Arlington Veterinarian Hospital was recognized for the care provided to the department’s two police dogs, Oso and Tara.
Honored volunteers were Maxine Jenft, who organized the city’s National Night Out events in August, and Vikki McMurray, who started the city’s Wipe Out Graffiti campaign.
