EVERETT — Detectives arrested a man Saturday night in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in south Everett, police said.
Early Friday morning, police were called to the 7700 block of Hardeson Road, according to police. Officers found a 15-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds. The teen was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he died.
Detectives believed the deceased knew the shooter, or shooters, and that the teenage boy was targeted. A black sedan with silver or alloy rims fled the scene, according to investigators.
The shooting suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail on Sunday at 12:26 a.m.
Everett police declined to comment on whether they believed there were multiple shooters.
“The investigation is still on-going and detectives continue to track down additional leads,” police wrote in a press release.
