Bad Hair Bandit hits Spokane bank

SPOKANE — It appears the “Bad Hair Bandit” is heading east.

The Spokesman-Review reports a robber matching her description held up a Spokane bank Monday. Tellers told police her dark brown hair with bangs could have been a wig.

The robber is known for wearing a variety of wigs in a series of 14 bank holdups that began in December in the Tacoma area. She also is believed to be responsible for holdups last month at banks in Ellensburg and Moses Lake.

The robber also usually wears a hoodie and glasses. She gives tellers a note, saying she is armed and demanding cash.
