SEATTLE — A Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman says two people were injured when a 38-foot boat got stuck Monday night under the Washington State Highway 520 floating bridge across Lake Washington.
Spokesman Sue Stangl tells The Seattle Times the boat somehow got wedged under the bridge, trapping a man below deck. Stangl says crews were able to free him. Both he and a woman who also was on the boat were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was not trapped below deck.
One eastbound lane was temporarily closed on the bridge.
Stangl says the Seattle Harbor Patrol will investigate.
