Boy Scout RJ Ustaris led three projects in support of the Marysville Community Food Bank as part of his work to earn the Eagle Scout Award, the scouting program’s highest rank. Ustaris held a food drive that collected over 900 pounds of food. With the assistance of Don St. Mary, of True North Security Solutions, he also helped install two security cameras around the food bank. And with the assistance of local artist Andy Eccleshall, he and other volunteers completed a mural along the front of the Food for Thought storage container located behind the food bank.
Ustaris is a sophomore at Grace Academy.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 180, chartered by the Knights of Columbus 7683 and St. Mary Catholic Church. A Court of Honor ceremony will be held Oct. 27.
