EVERETT — A Newcastle man was injured when his car burst into flames around Highway 526 and Seaway Boulevard on Monday night.
He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
He was in critical condition, officials said.
The man, 28, was driving westbound on the highway when his vehicle went off the road, through a grassy median and up an embankment before catching fire, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
