LYNNWOOD — A pedestrian and a baby in a stroller were rushed to Harborview Medical Center after a driver with a suspended license struck them on the roadside, according to Lynnwood police.
Around 2:50 p.m. Thursday, the pedestrian was pushing the stroller north on 67th Place W, north of 183rd Street SW, where there are no sidewalks. A northbound car struck them from behind at a “small rise in the road,” the Lynnwood Police Department wrote on social media.
Both the adult and the child were taken to the Seattle hospital.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police did not suspect drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, but reported the driver had a license suspended in the second degree.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing Thursday afternoon.
