Everett First Presbyterian Church presents Palm Sunday worship and Giving of Palms 10 a.m. Sunday.

The Seder meal followed by communion is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

A Tenebrae service for Good Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday.

A 30th annual Easter sunrise service is planned for 6:30 a.m. March 23 at Mukilteo Park beach.

The church’s youth group will lead the services. Participants are encouraged to dress warm and to park in the day parking area.

Free hot chocolate will be provided.

The men’s group will host an Easter pancake breakfast 8 to 9:30 a.m. March 23 in Stocker Hall.

Easter worship service and celebration is 10 a.m. March 23. The handbell and chancel choirs will present special music.

Lynnwood Free Methodist Church invites the public to its annual Easter egg hunt 2 p.m. March 22.

This event is free and for children ages 1 to 11. Families are welcome. Children will enjoy prizes and candy-filled eggs.

An Easter breakfast is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 23, followed by Easter worship for children and adults at 10:45 a.m.

Bethany Christian Assembly presents its Easter Sunday events March 23. A 15-minute sunrise service is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at Grand Avenue Park. Chapel service begins at 8:15 a.m.

Temple Beth Or invites the public to join them 7 p.m. Friday as they celebrate Purim.

Purim commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people from a plot to annihilate them in the ancient Persian Empire. Hear the megillah reading and join the parade as Rabbi Leah Herz leads the evening through a night of song, irreverence and fun.

The Evergreen Coffeehouse presents a poetry slam, 7:30 to 10 p.m. today.

WOMEN’S EVENTs

Kitty Jones offers “Learn to Let Go and Grow,” a series of Christian-based women’s workshops for emotional recovery and personal growth.

Two eight-week workshops are scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m., one starting April 8, a second starting April 10.

Jones, a motivational speaker and registered counselor, leads the workshops. New people are encouraged to attend Thursday workshops.

The workshops are held at the Old Snohomish Library, 105 Cedar Ave., Snohomish.

They are open to all women, but registration is required

The Calvary Baptist Church MOPS group still has a few openings.

Mothers of Preschoolers is a group for women who have at least one child, infants through kindergarten, or who are pregnant. The group is intended for all mothers of preschoolers.

MOPS meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Child care is provided.

Kadampa Meditation Center presents a series of Buddhist meditation classes 7:30 to 9 p.m. through March 31 titled “Love, Desire and Attachment.”

The classes are offered Mondays and include meditations, teachings, discussion, and refreshments. Drop-ins are welcome.
