Darrington woman dies in rollover crash on Highway 530

Lisa Konertz was driving west near Darrington when she crossed the center line and over-corrected, according to authorities.

DARRINGTON — A woman died Tuesday evening in a rollover crash on Highway 530 near Darrington, police said.

Around 6 p.m., Lisa Konertz was driving west on Highway 530, about 4 miles from Darrington, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Konertz, of Darrington, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, over-corrected and crashed into a ditch on the westbound side, troopers said. The car rolled over and came to rest on its passenger side.

Konertz, 59, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Wednesday.
