Measles at airport
A traveler with a contagious case of the measles made a stop at Sea-Tac Internatioanl Airport on Jan. 18, potentially exposing fellow travelers, according to the Seattle-King County Public Health department.
The contagious traveler flew from Amsterdam to Portland, Ore., through a connecting flight in Seattle. Anyone in the following areas between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. was possibly exposed to measles: S gate, N gate and either satellite train, including the stops.
Anyone at these locations during these times should promptly call a health care provider promptly if they develop an illness with fever or an unexplained rash before Feb. 9.
People at highest risk from exposure to measles include those who are unvaccinated, pregnant, infants younger than 6 months and those with weakened immune systems.

The tufted puffin is the largest of the three puffin species, standing roughly 15 inches tall. Found on the open ocean, islands and coastal areas of the North Pacific, the tufted puffin’s true home is the sea, as it hunts underwater and spends most of its life far from land.
The birds have adapted to an unusually broad range of ocean habitats. In the U.S., tufted puffins can be also found in Oregon and Washington.
