The authors of “Snohomish County: An Illustrated History” will talk about their book and sign copies at the annual meeting of the Museum of Snohomish County at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
Authors David Cameron, Jack O’Donnell, Charles LeWarne and Larry O’Donnell will give a slide show and lecture on their recently published work, which took 10 years to complete. The book has been selected to receive the 2006 Award of Publication Excellence by the Washington Museum Association.
Everett woman’s salad gets TV spot
Everett’s Karen Giovi will demonstrate her favorite salad recipe on the air when KCTS-TV debuts “KCTS Cooks: Salads” at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Giovi will make creamy chicken Sze- chwan salad.
Skate-a-Thon was a success
A Skate-a-Thon at Comcast Community Ice Rink at the Everett Events Center on Saturday to raise money for a Puget Sound Blood Center Bloodmobile brought in more than $1,000, organizers reported.
Mukilteo to discuss city hall
The Mukilteo City Council will meet Monday to discuss a possible plan for a new city hall. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at City Hall, 4480 Chennault Beach Road.
The council will review a 10-year-old set of drawings by Mukilteo architect Fred Baxter that shows a city hall on the east side of the Rosehill Community Center property at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.
The concept also includes retail shops and a parking garage built into the hillside facing Third Street, with the playground extended over the top.
