Lester Flores, Marysville Getchell High School Senior Officer
“High School and Beyond”
High school, the transition between our adolescence and adulthood. With the new environment, new friends, and new heights of where our education will push us. I’m sure some of us students are at the point where we dread high school because the loads of homework and fear tests so we cram from the exam the night or even the minutes before. Although in reality, we will face more rigorous things compared to what we’ve done now. But, I personally believe our perspective and mentality throughout high school is a test of where we’ll end up in later on in life. “We are what we put in” is one of the most important cliches which . We hold close those moments we had like asking or getting asked to our first dates to homecoming and prom. And we flip out our driver’s license to our friends as soon as we come out of the DOL; showcasing the freedom that we get. Our achievements are celebrated and embraced.
As a campus composed of four schools, we are unique from one another. We students are roots from the tree in which we branch out new things as we reach for the skies. How far will we branch from what the world has to offer us and what we will offer to our world? We are the culture and we are the connection.
Now a section of our life ended and we enter a new chapter where we find out where we go. It is limitless to what possibilities can happen. We prepare ourselves for more challenges and obstacles to overcome. In the end, what pays off is the experience and the future memories to be made time time rolls along. Let us keep moving forward with our lives and continue to strive for greatness and growth of our society. Like my man Mr. Kanye West said, “If you have the opportunity to play this game of life you need to appreciate every moment. A lot of people don’t appreciate until it’s passed” So Chargers of Marysville Getchell Class of 2017, What will be your next move?
