EVERETT — Mobile home park tenants and owners are expected to face off Monday at a hearing of the Snohomish County Council.
A 1:30 p.m. hearing is on the first floor of the county’s Drewel Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. The council wants to hear feedback on temporary county rules that make it more difficult to redevelop mobile home parks.
The rules were adopted in April and last six months. Meantime, more than 50 mobile home parks in unincorporated parts of the county cannot redevelop without seeking a zoning change from the county.
Lake Stevens: Man suspected of ad fraud
Police said they believe an Oregon man committed fraud in Lake Stevens when he sold advertisements in a fictitious community youth baseball program.
Eric Lloyd, 42, is in custody at the Marion County Jail in Salem, Ore., where he faces fraud charges, said Lake Stevens police detective Jeff Lambier. Lloyd allegedly faces similar charges in five Oregon communities and is wanted on warrants from two other states.
Lloyd may have a business partner who may still be working the fraud in the Lake Stevens area, Lambier said.
The man who is still at large is described as being in his 50s, possibly Hispanic, about 6 feet tall with gray hair. He’s used the names Bill Lewis and Mike Phillips and says he represents Lloyd’s printing company. He allegedly asks his victims to make checks payable to Eric Lloyd, Lambier said.
Now police want to know if there are additional victims.
Anyone who may have had contact with Lloyd or his partner is asked to call Lake Stevens police at 425-334-9537.
