ARLINGTON — A log truck and a cattle truck crashed Tuesday on Highway 530 near Arlington.
The driver of the loaded, eastbound log truck lost control at a slight bend in the road around 2:50 p.m. near Arlington Heights Road, Washington State Patrol trooper Heather Axtman said.
The truck hit an oncoming Dodge pickup hauling two cows in a trailer. No one in the pickup was hurt. The cows were all right, too.
The log truck rolled onto its passenger side. The driver suffered cuts, but no serious injuries, Axtman said.
Logs spilled onto the shoulder, off of the eastbound lanes.
Crews blocked the road as they cleaned up the mess. State troopers brought in commercial vehicle investigators to examine the scene.
