EVERETT — A man in his 40s was found dead under “suspicious circumstances” this week on Ebey Island, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man lying down on the roadside at Cherry and Riverside avenues, Lt. Jason Toner said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Toner said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Clayton Perry, 45, of Everett. The cause and manner of death had not been released as of Thursday.
The scene was north of the U.S. 2 trestle, near the wetlands of the Snohomish River delta.
No arrests had been made in the case Thursday. It remained an active investigation.
