EVERETT — A man was shot in the leg Saturday night in Lake Stevens after confronting three individuals breaking into his truck, according to the Lake Stevens Police Department.
Around 10:35 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of 103rd Avenue Southeast, according to a press release. The victim chased the suspects after seeing them smash his truck window. While fleeing to their getaway car, one of the suspects fired at the victim, striking him in the upper leg, police said.
Responders applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding before Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue spokesperson Peter Mongillo.
The suspects fled in a white vehicle, possibly a BMW and have not been located, according to the release.
No additional details about the investigation have been released.
