EVERETT — A man suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon when he was shot while walking his dog in the Silver Lake neighborhood, according to Everett police.
The shooting was reported around 3:30 p.m. in the 11300 block of 19th Ave. SE, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
The man was reportedly walking his dog on a sidewalk when an altercation broke out between him and another pedestrian, Snell said. Several men got involved in the conflict before the gunfire.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital. His condition was unknown Tuesday evening, police said.
The man identified as firing the gun was detained and cooperated with police, Snell said.
