SEATTLE — Federal officials are releasing documents Wednesday from their investigation into the collapse of the I-5 Skagit River bridge at Mount Vernon.
A section of the span fell into the water in May of last year after a truck carrying an oversize load hit the structure about 60 miles north of Seattle. Two other vehicles fell into the water and three people survived.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating and is expected to release its full findings this summer.
