EVERETT — A motorcyclist died Tuesday night in a crash on East Marine View Drive, police said.
Around 8 p.m., a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed into each other at the intersection of 11th Street and East Marine View Drive, Everett police officer Natalie Givens said.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. Occupants in the car sustained minor injuries, police said. Police did not arrest the driver of the vehicle.
“Speed may have been a contributing factor,” Everett detective Sgt. Craig Davis said.
Police did not disclose other details about the suspected cause of the crash.
The 1000 block of East Marine View Drive was closed for about six hours while detectives investigated Tuesday night.
The man was one of two motorcyclists to die in crashes in Snohomish County on Tuesday night. Around the same time, a Darrington man on a Kawasaki crashed into a car that failed to yield for him on Highway 530, according to the Washington State Patrol.
