COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Idaho State Police say two adults and three children from the northern Idaho town of Potlatch had to be hospitalized after their car struck a moose.
Authorities say 38-year-old Amos Dirks was northbound on U.S. Highway 95 about 7:15 p.m. Friday near Westmond when a moose crossed in front of the Subaru Impreza.
Amos Dirks was taken to Bonner General Hospital, and 36-year-old Tiana Dirks was taken to Kootenai Medical Center.
Two girls ages 15 and 10, and a 13-year-old boy, were taken to Bonner General Hospital.
The medical facilities declined to release information on Saturday.
