OLYMPIA — An Olympia man is accused of causing an accident while rushing his dog to a veterinary clinic.
The Olympian reports the crash Tuesday night on Yelm Highway injured two boys, one seriously.
The 34-year-old man, Robert Earl Ottoboni, appeared Wednesday in Thurston County Superior Court and was ordered held on $40,000 bail for investigation of felony hit-and-run and vehicular assault.
Prosecutors say his car was speeding up to 100 mph when it collided with another car. A 10-year-old was taken to an Olympia hospital and a 4-year-old was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious facial injuries.
Ottoboni is accused of leaving the scene to continue to the clinic. His dog had been struck in front of his home.
